MOUNTAIN RETURNS AT THE CURRAGH

Classic hope Monashee Mountain will face five rivals in the Loughbrown Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

Aidan O'Brien's charge, a #1 million purchase as a yearling, is unbeaten in two races and is a 12-1 chance for the Sagitta 2000 Guineas with Ladbrokes.

The best of the opposition in this Listed race would appear to be the Dermot Weld-trained Jammaal, third to Sinndar in the National Stakes at the Curragh last September.

O'Brien used this race to launch Stravinsky's campaign last season.

However the subsequent Darley July Cup and Persimmon Homes Nunthorpe Stakes winner could only finish second, at odds of 2-5, behind Tarfaa.
