MONTANA SET FOR NAAS

Promising chaser Montana Glen is expected to line up for the EBF Novice Chase at Naas on Saturday.

Al O'Connell's gelding, an easy winner at Leopardstown over Christmas, has the festivals at Fairyhouse and Punchestown as his season targets.

'He is better than ever and the conditions of the race at the weekend will suit him.' said O'Connell today.

The opening Kill Maiden Hurdle at the meeting will see the hurdle debut of Fnan, a four-time winner on the Flat in England for John Dunlop, who makes his first start for Noel Meade.

The Go Racing in Kildare Hurdle promises to be a competitive affair with Charlie Swan's No Discount looking to go one better than on his last visit to the course - when he lost out to Champagne Native by a head in the valuable Slaney Hurdle.
