The Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Joe Walsh TD, today announced details of the annual Agri-Aware Raceday. The Raceday, the third of its kind so far, will take place on the concluding day of the Leopardstown Christmas festival, Friday 29th, December.
The feature race of the day, the AIB Agribusiness December Festival Hurdle will see Istabraq make his seasonal debut. The JP McManus-owned star will be looking to win this Grade 2 #30,000 hurdle for the third consecutive year.
Leopardstown Racing Manager, Tom Burke, commented: 'We are delighted once again to be hosting the Agri Awareness Raceday for the third year running.'
He continued: 'This day has grown in popularity each successive year and we are looking forward to another day's racing when the city and country join together in a shared passion.'
