Dubai Millennium continues to progress following surgery on the leg injury that ended his career, it was revealed today.
The four-year-old had the cast taken off his off-hind on Wednesday at Dalham Hall Stud, where it is hoped he will take up stud duties next year.
Godolphin`s superstar suffered a condylar fracture to his off-hind on the gallops last Saturday and underwent a five-and-a-half hour operation at Beaufort Cottage Equine Hospital the following day.
A statement on the Darley website said: 'Dubai Millennium continues to make pleasing progress after his operation last weekend.
'The cast on his off-hind was removed and he is getting around his box very well.
'He has support bandages on all four legs and is being treated with antibiotics.
'He is proving to be an excellent patient and has settled into his new home remarkably quickly.'
