MIGHT AND POWER SET FOR COME BACK

Might And Power, the top-class Australian performer out of action since November 1998 owing to a tendon problem, is on the verge of making a comeback.

Connections have pencilled in the 1997 Melbourne and Caulfield Cup winner for a crack at the Warwick Stakes at Canterbury on Saturday.

The two-times Australian Horse of the Year has had two public workouts, the latest on Saturday, and he looked on good terms with himself again on Monday.

Owner, Nick Moraitis, said: 'He worked well again (Monday) and is being constantly monitored by the vets.'

He added that no risks would be taken with Might And Power, and that any signs of injury would prompt the horse`s retirement.

Also winner of the 1998 Cox Plate, Might And Power is also entered in this year`s Melbourne Cup.
