Media Puzzle looks set to bypass the Rothmans Royals St Leger at Doncaster on Saturday week in favour of the Irish equivalent seven days later, it was announced today.
Dermot Weld, who trains the improving colt at the Curragh, said: 'It is unlikely he`ll be going over to Doncaster for the St Leger. A suitable alternative is the Irish (St Leger).'
Media Puzzle was a 25-1 chance with Ladbrokes for the Doncaster Classic.
The same firm`s 9-2 third favourite Millenary will be ridden by Richard Quinn, who partnered John Dunlop`s charge to victory in the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood at the beginning of the month.
