MAGUIRE OUT FOR UP TO A FORTNIGHT

Conditional jockey Jason Maguire faces up to two weeks out of action after injuring his right shoulder when schooling at Tom George`s yard.

The 3lb claimer saw an orthopaedic specialist at Cheltenham hospital yesterday who confirmed that there was no break.

'He`s going to see the doctor again in two weeks` time. The shoulder is back in, there`s no break. It`s just sore,' said the Slad trainer`s wife Sophie.

'He might come back quicker. The doctor has told him to see how happy he is and I`m sure he`ll be back riding after that.

'He`ll be riding out again shortly as he must test the shoulder. He`ll have a brace on so that he can`t lift the shoulder too high. It wouldn`t restrict his riding.

'Who know, he might be happy by the end of the week. The doctor hasn`t told him he can`t ride. It`s just that he was in pain.'
