The hugely talented juvenile filly Babouche understandably delighted her connections at the Curragh yesterday when gaining Group One honours in the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes and all involved have plenty to look forward to with a splendid team of youngsters.
Ger Lyons is planning to chart a careful path through the programme with Juddmonte's Red Letter, a grey daughter of Frankel that has looked a potential top-notcher in a couple of maidens at HQ to date.
“At the minute she is being trained for the Moyglare and that could easily change to the Ingabelle and go through the grades," said Lyons.
“She’s only won her maiden and we might just go for the Listed on Champions Weekend as she is growing and is a next year filly.
“Her form is rock solid with the horse that won the Sweet Solera today (2nd on debut to Lake Victoria at the end of June).
“Aidan has some very good fillies and is she ready to bump into them at the moment, in my opinion not, but she will be if I do the right thing by her.
“She is training really well.”
