Heavenly Power will have another crack at the €100,000 Paddy Power Scurry Handicap on Irish Oaks Day at the Curragh next weekend.

The Eddie Lynam-trained gelding was fifth in the six-furlong contest last year and comes into the race off the back of a good run at the venue last time.

He chased home Apricot Ice over course and distance on Derby weekend and is a dual winner at the track.

"He'll go for the Scurry again,” said Lynam.

"If we could organise a gallon of rain, it would make all the difference.

"I think on Derby weekend we were in the second (race) and it was going slow. If he had been in later (it would have helped), he needs them to slow down a bit for him. The winner was too nippy for him.

"He'll take his chance and it would be nice to get a winner in those colours."

Heavenly Power is owned by Sabena Power, wife of legendary bookmaker David Power who passed away last Monday.
