Lee returns at Dundalk

Billy Lee makes a welcome return to action at Dundalk tomorrow evening after over three months out of the saddle with fractured ribs and a collapsed lung.

Lee suffered the injuries at the same all-weather track on September 4 when his mount, the Philip Rothwell-trained Winnie Minnie, slipped up when injured in the closing stages of a mile and a half handicap.

Fran Berry and Emmet McNamara were both brought down in the incident but escaped unscathed, although ironically both are currently sidelined as Berry broke an ankle in Japan last month and McNamara severed a finger in a stalls incident at Dundalk.

Lee has four mounts booked at Dundalk tomorrow, with David Wachman's Tannery perhaps his best opportunity of returning with a winner in the juvenile fillies mile maiden.

Wachman has provided him with five of his 17 winners so far this year.
