Connections had to survive a Stewards Enquiry when the winner slightly hampered runner-up Tweedy and Fran Berry fifty yards from home. Hayes hit the front aboard Statue Of Liberty gelding from over a furlong out and kept on well on the run-in despite drifting left close home to score by half a length.
