Johnny Murtagh is looking forward to running his high-class sprinter Ladies Church in Dubai again this winter with the daughter of Churchill due to reappear later this week.

The Mark Dobbin-owned four-year-old has won four times including the Group 2 Barberstown Castle Sapphire Stakes at the Curragh last year and was last seen finishing fourth to Moss Tucker in the Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai Flying Five Stakes also at the Curragh in September.

“She’s gone to Dubai and took the trip okay. She will run on Friday in a five-furlong Listed race,” Murtagh told Racing TV.

“She ran well in a Group 2 there last year and that is probably the main aim again on January 26.

“If she could run well this week that would set her up nicely for a month’s time.”

Ladies Church only failed by a short-head to peg back Miqyaas in the Group 2 Blue Point Sprint at Meydan earlier this year.

Miqyaas is again among her 11 rivals in the Ertijaal Dubai Dash on Friday with the Charlie Appleby-trained Mischief Magic and Charlie Hills’ Equilateral also in the line-up.
