Ante-post favourite Boreas received the luck of the draw for tomorrow`s #175,000 Tote Ebor at York.
Luca Cumani`s charge, one of 22 horses declared today for the prestigious handicap, was allotted a seemingly advantageous berth in stall seven.
Eight of the last 10 Ebor winners have been drawn in single figures with only Sanmartino in 1995 defying a draw higher than 10.
However, Boreas` main market rivals have not fared quite so well.
Glorious Goodwood winner Temple Way, second favourite to Boreas in the ante-post market, must race from stall 21.
Gordon Stakes fourth Give The Slip has been drawn in stall 16 while Old Newton Cup winner Rada`s Daughter is in stall 19.
More favourably drawn are the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Biennale (four) and Richard Fahey`s course and distance winner Inch Perfect (three).
A field of 10 two-year-olds has been declared for the Scottish Equitable Gimcrack Stakes including the David Barron-trained Media Mogul, a short-head second to Noverre in the July Stakes last time.
However, much interest will centre on two unraced runners in the Group Two contest.
French Empire, whose main target is reported to be the Doncaster Yearling Sales race at next month`s St Leger meeting, will represent Florida-based Frenchman Franck Mourier.
While the Aidan O`Brien-trained Juniper will run in the colours of Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Philip Robinson is set to partner Flossy in the Ebor.
The news is a welcome change of luck for the jockey who has lost the rides on Barathea Guest in today`s Juddmonte International Stakes and Ela Athena in tomorrow`s Aston Upthorpe Yorkshire Oaks.
Flossy`s trainer Chris Thornton explained: 'Philip Robinson rides.
'We`d been struggling to get a jockey but he`s a good lad.
'We`ve been in two minds whether to run her or not because I think the ground might be a little quicker than she really wants.
'We had Tony Beech who won the November Handicap on her booked.
'Then they rang up to say that his employer Mr Bell wanted him at Brighton and if we weren`t definitely running they were going to switch him there.
'I said I can`t say whether she definitely runs so he disappeared!'
Thornton is still hoping for some rain for the four-year-old, who got off the mark for the season at Chester last time.
'They rang me from the track yesterday to say it was raining and the ground wasn`t too bad so we`ve declared her but if the ground was to dry up a lot she might possibly still not run,' Thornton added.
'She just doesn`t seem as good on firmish ground.
'But she`s really well and we`re hoping for a good run.'
Flossy is a 25-1 chance for the race with Ladbrokes.
