Vodafone Oaks winner Love Divine has run her last race, it emerged today.
A minor physical problem has caused her to be retired to stud.
'We had planned to keep her in training but on veterinary advice we had to retire her as she had some slight problems with her fetlocks,' Trevor Harris, whose Lordship Stud owns the filly, told the Racing Post.
Love Divine beat Kalypso Katie by two lengths at Epsom in June on just her third racecourse appearance, giving trainer Henry Cecil his fourth Oaks win in five years despite an interrupted preparation.
Harris added: 'It was a terrific achievement by Henry Cecil and his staff to get her to win an Oaks after the illness she had and we were delighted to be able to provide Richard Quinn with a Classic winner in his first season as stable-jockey.'
Cecil, who also saddled the filly to win the Lupe Stakes at Goodwood, said: 'Love Divine proved herself a champion - a top-class Group One-winning filly that will be invaluable to the stud.
'She was a very good filly who loved a bit of cut in the ground. It was unfortunate that when she was ill the ground was right for her and when she came back to full health the ground was against her.'
Love Divine ran three times after the Oaks, notably finishing second in the Yorkshire Oaks at York and fourth on her final start in the Dubai Champion Stakes at Newmarket.
