Limestone Lad is on course for his second race over fences at Tipperary on Saturday, it was revealed today.
The James Bowe-trained gelding, the only horse to beat the mighty Istabraq last season, easily won his first outing over the larger obstacles at Cork on Sunday when he beat Ceoil Agus Craic by three and a half lengths.
And the trainer`s wife Phyllis Bowe said: 'He`s come out of the Cork race great - in good form. We were delighted with the way he went on his chasing debut and he is an intended runner at Tipperary.'
Limestone Lad has done well for the Bowes, who also bred the horse, and has 19 wins - one chase, 16 hurdles and two bumpers - to his credit.
'We are charmed to have him,' added Mrs Bowe.
