LIKE-A-BUTTERFLY GOES CHASING

Like-A-Butterfly has pleased connections in schooling sessions, and will be sent over fences this season.

The nine-year-old Montelimar mare, who touched off Limestone Lad in a thrilling renewal of the AIG Europe Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown last season, is reported in good form by her trainer Christy Roche.

'She is very well, and has taken really well to chasing. We will start her over two miles.'

The Curragh trainer is also pleased with Le Coudray, although he is in 'no hurry' with the nine-year-old gelding.

'He will go for the bigger chases and is very versatile from two miles to three miles. I would say two and a half is probably his best trip.'

A comprehensive preview of the forthcoming National Hunt season will appear on this site in the next few days.
