LADY SET FOR NEWMARKET

Lady Vettori, beaten a short head by Peony in the Listed Prix Imprudence at Maisons-Laffitte today, is expected to take her chance in the Sagitta 1000 Guineas.

Trainer Francois Rohaut confirmed that she will probably head to Newmarket on May 7th.

However, Pascal Bary ruled out the race for Bluemamba after the Chantilly winner finished a close third in a blanket finish.

Peony, trained by Dominique Sepulchre and ridden by Cash Asmussen, came from the rear to pip Lady Vettori. The winner is not in the Newmarket classic.

Bary had earlier enjoyed better luck in the Listed Prix Djebel in which the Prince Khaled Abdulla-owned Danger Over cut his rivals down to size by coasting to a three lengths win.

His immediate victim, Onlyman, remains a possible for the Sagitta 2000 Guineas.

"We shall just have to wait and see," said trainer Criquette Head.
