Kyprios led home a Moyglare Stud 1-2 as he got the better of Search For A Song in the Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan.
The four-year-old, who had not been seen since disappointing in the Lingfield Derby Trial last May, looked a thorough stayer as he pulled away from his rivals on the stiff uphill climb.
With just the four runs under his belt, he was open to any amount of improvement stepping up in trip. All the major Cup races must now be under consideration as well as a possible tilt at the Irish St Leger.
The winner was completing a great afternoon for Aidan O'Brien who won all three listed races on the card.
Aidan O'Brien said; Aidan O'Brien said: "We always thought he was going to be very nice. He went to Ascot last year and jumped out under the stalls and he hasn't run since then.
"He looks like a stayer with a bit of class, he relished that trip. We liked him a lot last year and he has done well since then. He relaxes and he quickens.
"If we are going to Ascot, we could have a look at the Saval Beg (at Leopardstown in May). We might not travel him before Ascot but we will see."
Paddy Power gave Kyprios a first show of 14/1 for the Ascot Gold Cup and cut him from 33/1 to 8/1 for the Yorkshire Cup.
