Knight completes 64/1 Ballydoyle Naas brace Ballydoyle doubled-up when Saracen Knight (5s into 4s) impressed off a 311 day break in the Naas Membership Race. Twelve to one chance Isle Of Innisfree (Seamie Heffernan) got it done earlier on the card for Aidan O'Brien, and his son Donnacha was aboard Saracen Knight. Odds-on favourite and Enable's half-brother Centroid couldn't change gear when required in the final quarter mile, as Saracen Knight kept up the gallop from the front. In the end the son of Camelot had three and three parts of a length and seven lengths in hand over Jessica Harrington's pair, Boho and Holding Pattern. Centroid (4/5) was two and a quarter lengths off them in fourth. Said Donnacha O'Brien: "He impressed me. He was off the track for a long time so I thought he'd come forward fitness wise but he did it nicely and gave me a nice feel. "These Camelots seem to be improving a lot at three and he's obviously done the same. He's one to look forward to. He's entered in a few Group 3 races (at Leopardstown and Naas) and something like that would be his target." The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Centroid (GB), trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. (AM & EM)
