The track at Killarney has been watered ahead of this evening's second session of the four-day July Festival meeting at the picturesque Co. Kerry venue.
The going has been maintained at good on the Flat course, and good (good to firm in places) on the National Hunt course. There will be further watering again tonight if required.
This evening's feature is the Christy Sweeney Memorial Novice Chase where Sweeps Hill is taken on by four rivals including Casey Top and Fort George The first on a seven race mixed card gets underway at 5.50pm.
Racing also takes place today on the polytrack at Dundalk, with the first of seven races beginning at 2.20pm. The going as usual is standard.
Meanwhile the track at Downpatrick has also been watered ahead of their meeting tomorrow afternoon, and the ground is described as good (good to firm in places).
The going at the Curragh remains good for their two-day Darley Irish Oaks meeting this weekend.
Kilbeggan (Friday) and Tipperary (Sunday) also hold fixtures later this week, and the advance going at both tracks is currently good. The forecast for the next few days is generally dry with a threat of isolated showers.
