Tony Kelly's trip home is proving very profitable as he recorded a double at Ballinrobe tonight courtesy of Bean Chroi Bhriste in the Jennings Meats Handicap Hurdle.
Local trainer Michael Flannery had reported beforehand that his charge was showing signs of coming into season but it didn't seem to effect the mare.
She hit the front at the fifth last and kicked for home on the bend. Kelly found a willing partner as she stuck on for a length-and-a-half success over Tryptronic
"She's been very unlucky and it's great to win here," said Flannery. "It's hard to put it all together.
"I was a bit afraid as she showed signs of being in season but I knew she was in good form."
7lb claimer Kelly, had earlier partnered Major Harry to win for his father Pat. He is currently connected to Ferdy Murphy's yard in England and is on a short break home.
Tonight's brace brought the 22-year-old to the eight winner mark.
