King's Best will have a racecourse gallop at Sandown next week as part of his preparation for the Vodafone Derby.
Trainer Sir Michael Stoute is planning to canter the winner of the Sagitta 2000 Guineas over seven furlongs with a stable companion at 7.30am on Monday.
The idea is to give the colt, who has been prone to boil over in the past, more experience of a busy raceday ahead of the Derby itself on June 10.
Andrew Cooper, the group manager of Sandown's United Racecourses, said: 'Michael Stoute asked if King's Best could canter at Sandown on Monday and we are delighted to be able to help.
'The idea is to give King's Best more experience of raceday conditions as well as some light exercise.'
King's Best was among 32 horses left in the Derby at this week's forfeit stage for the Epsom Classic.
The colt is 3-1 favourite for the race with Ladbrokes but there are doubts whether he has the stamina to last out one and a half miles.
