A decision about King's Best's next intended outing is likely to be made after the Sagitta 2,000 Guineas winner has worked at the weekend.
The Kingmambo colt has been on the easy list since suffering from a muscular problem two days before he was due to run in the Vodafone Derby, but he was able to gallop for the first time since then on the Limekiln.
King's Best was given a nice lead by Shablam and quickened up when asked by Kieren Fallon to pull two lengths ahead in an easy piece of work over seven furlongs.
Joe Mercer, racing manager to the colt's owner Saeed Suhail, said: 'King's Best is in everything. He'll work again on Saturday and we'll decide afterwards.'
Meanwhile, stable companion Medicean, a close third behind Giant's Causeway in the Group 1 St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot on Tuesday, has been allotted 8st 10lb in the 41st John Smith's Cup at York next month.
The lightly raced three-year-old is one of eight entries from Sir Michael Stoute's stable for the #135,000 handicap over an extended 10 furlongs on July 15.
Toby Balding's tough gelding Bomb Alaska, heads the weights on 10st. Another interesting entry is John Gosden's Supply And Demand, seven-length winner ofa competitive 10-furlong handicap at Epsom on Vodafone Derby day. The six-year-old has 9st 8lb.
The race has attracted 71 entries.
