Michael Kinane will finally return to race-riding tomorrow and is on course to renew his association with Montjeu in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.
The Irishman has not ridden in public since injuring his back while partnering Spinning Top at the Curragh on July 1ST.
Cash Asmussen took over the following afternoon on Montjeu in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud because Kinane was unavailable.
'Michael is going to ride at Naas tomorrow,' his agent John Shortt revealed this morning. 'He`s going to ride a two-year-old for Aidan O`Brien and maybe one other.
'I haven`t spoken to him for a couple of days but he was planning to ride Montjeu and as far as I know he`ll be on Montjeu on Saturday.'
Montjeu, winner of the French and Irish Derbys and Prix de l`Arc de Triomphe last season, is a best-priced 8-11 with Coral to make his first appearance in Britain a winning one
