Michael Kinane has been booked to ride leading fancy Ho Leng in the Vodafone Stewards` Cup at Goodwood, it was revealed today.
Kinane rode the Linda Perratt-trained gelding, a 16-1 chance for the race with Ladbrokes for Saturday`s race, to win the Bunbury Cup in 1998.
Gary Carter was aboard last time when the five-year-old finished an unlucky-in-running third behind Awake at Newbury.
'That might just be a Godsend, we were disappointed at the time but now he`ll run on Saturday without a 6lb penalty. He worked very well this morning,' Perratt said today.
'If Mick hadn`t been available we`d have offered the ride to Dettori!'
