John Lawless from Carbury, County Kildare has emerged as one of the two winners of the British Tote Scoop6 from Saturday.
Having placed his £72 bet over the phone with Tote Credit Club, the 35-year-old has already collected a win dividend of £113,916 and place dividends of £1,600 and will bid for a bonus prize of £1,266,688 on Saturday.
Tote Public Relations Director Rob Hartnett said: "We have spoken to John and he is most likely to travel over, with some of his family, to watch his £1 million horse on Saturday."
The other winner, a Tote Credit client from Gloucestershire, has requested to remain anonymous.
