Young Kenny heads a list of 21 runners declared for the Stakis Casinos Scottish Grand National at Ayr tomorrow.
Peter Beaumont's nine-year-old, a faller at the 10th fence in last Saturday's Martell Grand National, will carry 11st 10lb in the £70,000 contest, the same weight he carried to victory in last year's race.
There are eight horses in the handicap proper with Cheltenham Festival winner Marlborough on 11st 7lb and local hope Birkdale, trained by Len Lungo at Carrutherstown, on 10st 2lb.
Birkdale will be bidding to give Scotland its first victory in the race since Cockle Strand scored for Ken Oliver in 1982.
Ante-post favourite Paris Pike will be ridden by Adrian Maguire, who won the four-mile-one-furlong test on Baronet two years ago.
Other interesting contenders are the smart hunter chaser Cavalero, who was first reserve for the Grand National, Martin Pipe's Moondigua and Soldat, a promising novice from Paul Nicholls' yard.
Most notable withdrawal this morning was Grand National faller Red Marauder.
Richard Guest, assistant to Red Marauder's trainer Norman Mason, said: "He just wasn't bright enough this morning so we thought we'd better give it a miss.
"The ground might have been getting a bit quick but at this stage that wasn't the problem.
"If he perks up and we are happy with him we will go to Fairyhouse for the Irish Grand National, though again we would want the ground to be right. There are other possibilities for him at either Wetherby of Perth."
Dato Star faces four rivals in the Samsung Electronics Scottish Champion Hurdle including last week's shock Aintree winner Mister Morose.
Sent off at 16-1, Mister Morose beat a high-class field for the Grade One Martell Aintree Hurdle over two and a half miles.
Nicholls saddles leading two-miler Flagship Uberalles in the Bonusprint Handicap Chase and the six-year-old will be out to redeem his reputation after being pulled up at Aintree last week.
The Ditcheat trainer also has Fadalko in the Ashleybank Investments Future Champion Novices' Chase in which last year's Scottish Champion Hurdle winner will face Bellator and Kings Measure.
