Martell Grand National winner Papillon has been given 11st 11lb in the weights revealed today for the Powers Gold Label Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse on Easter Monday.
Young Kenny, a faller at the 10th fence at Aintree, heads the weights for the £125,000 contest on 12st with Rince Ri, like Papillon trained by Ted Walsh on 11st 13lb.
Papillon is almost certain to miss the trip to Fairyhouse, where he finished second to Bobbyjo in the Irish Grand National two years ago.
Walsh could choose between Rince Ri and the novice Commanche Court (10st 11lb), who has an alternative engagement the following afternoon in the £50,000 Power Gold Cup.
Another Kildare trainer with a novice and a proven performer entered in the Irish Grand National is Arthur Moore.
Native Upmanship, one of the best first-season chasers in Ireland this term, has been allotted 11st 4lb while stablemate Feathered Leader, who was runner-up to Glebe Lad in last year's race is on the 10st mark.
Alan King has Spendid entered and the eight-year-old has 11st 10lb, 3lb above Bobbyjo, whom trainer Tommy Carberry reports safe and sound after failing in his bid to win a second Grand National last Saturday.
"We will see how Bobbyjo is in the next week or so," he said. "He has a few cuts but nothing serious and we will have a look at the Irish National, the Whitbread Gold Cup and the Heineken Gold Cup at Punchestown for him."
Henry Daly has entered Star Traveller (11st 4lb) as well as Coral Welsh National winner Edmond (11st 3lb) and Lancastrian Jet (10st 6lb).
Apart from the top weight, Yorkshire-based trainer Peter Beaumont is responsible for Niki Dee (11st 1lb), third behind Papillon at Aintree, while Ferdy Murphy's Midlands Grand National winner Ackzo is on 10st 9lb.
