KEMPTON CONFIDENT

Hopes are very high that jump racing will go ahead tomorrow at Kempton. The track has been badly hit by rain of late but it was raceable today and the forecast is encouraging.

'Prospects are very high,' clerk of the course Brian Clifford said this morning.

'We had two inches of rain over the weekend but Kempton is a very free-draining track and it has taken it very well.

'We are raceable today and I don`t think a shower would put us in doubt. And the forecast is for it to stay dry until after racing tomorrow, with only the possibility of a shower if we are unlucky.'

Tomorrow`s other jumps meeting at Newton Abbot has been abandoned but no problems are reported for the afternoon`s Flat fixture at Musselburgh.
