Champion conditional elect Rachael Blackmore pleased her many fans by winning on 25/1 shot Just Call Me in the closing Follow Tipperary Races On Facebook Handicap Hurdle.
Formerly a winner when in the ownership of J P McManus at Cork in July 2015, Just Call Me has since spent a considerable period of time on the sidelines (545 days).
However the High Chaparral gelding showed that he still has something to offer for Andrew McNamara senior, and owner Henry Lappin, as he crossed the line with five and a half lengths to spare over the staying-on War Of The Pennys
"He loves that ground and when Barry Geraghty won on him before, he said to up him to two and a half," said McNamara.
"The ground was too heavy for him on his last two runs and he'll run away in those races for the summer. He'll also jump a fence before the summer is finished.
"He had a touch of tendon trouble and Frank Berry (previous owner J.P. McManus' racing manager) asked, did I want him, and that's his first win for his new owner Henry Lappin."
