Jonjo Bright fundraising auction and ballot

After racing at Downpatrick on Friday there will be an auction and ballot of valuable items in aid of the Jonjo Bright Trust. This will take place in the hospitality suite.

Jockey Jonjo Bright was paralysed after a fall in Tyrella, Co Down in March when aged 19.

Leading lights of racing and indeed the wider sporting world have donated some incredible lots to be auctioned off. Among these include:

* A Darren Clarke signed shirt

* An Istabraq print signed by Charlie Swan, JP McManus and Aidan O’Brien

* A morning with Noel Meade for two people with lunch at Navan racecourse

* JP McManus racing silks signed by AP McCoy

* A Celtic football shirt signed by all the players

* Sprinter Sacre’s number cloth from the Champion Chase signed by Barry Geraghty and Nicky Henderson

* A signed Wayne Rooney shirt

* A Healy Racing print

* A tour and lunch for two people at Coolmore

* An AP McCoy signed saddle

* A morning with Willie Mullins for two people with lunch at Gowran Park racecourse

* A print of Camelot signed by Joseph and Aidan O’Brien.

In addition there are a number of ballot prizes to be won. Some of the eyecatching ones are: Two tickets to Old Trafford to see Manchester United v Arsenal on November 10; Admission and lunch for four people at Punchestown’s John Durkan Chase Day on December 8; Fourballs at Downpatrick and Ardglass Golf Clubs respectively and Admission and lunch for two people at Leopardstown on Irish Champion Hurdle Day on January 26.
