Mark Johnston landed his third success of the meeting when Happy Diamond supplemented his Ascot victory of last Saturday.
Today's hat-trick was sealed with success in the Volvo Truck Globetrotter Stakes (Showcase Handicap).
Defying a 7lb penalty for that victory, Happy Diamond was brought with a wet sail by John Reid to deny long-time leader Starlyte Girl by one and a quarter lengths, with 11-4 favourite Water Jump a further three lengths back in third.
'We did something we do not like doing in allowing this one to run 3lb `wrong` because he goes up 4lb in the handicap but ran with a 7lb penalty here,' said Johnston.
