Jimmy Walker Passes Away Racing Journalist Jimmy Walker has passed away at the age of 78. Jimmy who had been ill for some time was racing correspondent for The Belfast Telegraph since 1963 until his retirement and was a familiar figure at all the major Irish racecourses for many years. He wrote a number of books on both horse racing and his other passion which was motor cycle racing, including a biography of Richard Dunwoody titled Bred To Be Champion. Walker was honoured by Northern Ireland horse racing in 1996 for his services to the industry. May he rest in peace.
