Francis Norton`s appeal against the three-day ban he received at Ayr last week has been rejected by the Jockey Club this morning.
Norton was found guilty of irresponsible riding of a minor nature aboard Markusha in the James Barr Nursery at the Scottish course last Friday.
The disciplinary committee heard evidence from Norton, who was legally represented and Kevin Darley, rider of My American Beauty.
It also viewed video recordings of the race.
The committee found that Markusha had interfered with My American Beauty who in turn interfered with Lennel and upheld the Ayr stewards` decision.
Norton is banned from September 24 to 26 and his deposit money was forfeited. -PA
