JARVIS HOLDING FIRE

A final decision on Holding Court's participation in the Budweiser Irish Derby on July 2nd will be left until the last possible moment.

"We are still intending to supplement Holding Court," trainer Michael Jarvis said today. "We will leave the decision as late as possible but that is the way we are thinking at the moment."

Connections of the runaway French Derby winner would have to fork out £85,000 to add Holding Court to the field for the Curragh Classic.

Jarvis had previously expressed concern about the possibility of the Curragh drying up. However, racecourse manager Jason Morris reported: "The going is good and I would describe it as perfect ground."
