Isabellareine a five time winner on the level in her native Germany, got off the mark over hurdles when taking the Beechlawn House & Strangford Arms Handicap Hurdle.
A fantastic leap at the last when in front was crucial in the top-weight seeing off Golden Hare by the minimum margin. Philip Enright was in the plate on the 16/1 winner.
Successful trainer, Mervyn Torrens said: "My horses weren't right since November but they seem to be coming right now. I fancied her all week but I had a bit of a sweat before they called the result. I bought her from Germany from Christian Von Der Recke. We have twelve German-breds in the yard."
