"It was like old times" exclaimed a delighted Noel Meade after his jumps treble at Galway yesterday and the Castletown handler went on to outline plans for a couple of his stable stars.

Jesse Evans, twice runner-up in the Galway Hurdle, got off the mark over fences at Ballybrit last month and Meade said: "He may go to Cork on Sunday for a 2m4f Grade 3 novice chase if the ground is reasonable and, if not, to Punchestown for the Craddockstown Novice Chase.

"I went for it in the Galway Hurdle this year and fell for it again in the Cesarewitch the last day but that was a bad idea to run, because when you run in those good races it puts you back. He is in good form although had a slight hold-up since his last run."

Of his Galway Plate victor Pinkerton, who was third in a Flat maiden at Navan last week, Meade added: "I might run him either at Cork next weekend or if the ground goes soft, he could go north (for a Grade 2 at Down Royal on Saturday), where Jesse (Evans) isn't running.

"We are hoping Pinkerton will run in the Drinmore then."
