In-form filly Dha Leath really wanted the victory at Roscommon and she did it nicely under Gary Carroll who rode his third winner of the evening.
Late money forced Dha Leath down to 5/2 favourite and she was ideally positioned just behind the leaders in this extended mile and a quarter handicap.
She was fourth turning in and moved up to challenge Coins Cross at the two marker. The four-year-old Mehmas filly hit the front over a furlong out and was soon ridden by Carroll to go on and win her race.
She was tough on the uphill climb as Loingseoir tried to make life difficult for her. The 'jolly' asserted in the closing stages to prevail by a length and three quarters.
Loingseoir (10/3) held on to second by a short head from Dha Leath's stablemate Pachmena (6/1).
This was Dha Leath's third win from her four outings this season.
Winning trainer Gavin Cromwell said: “She tries hard in fairness to her. I thought the handicapper had caught up with her but she dug deep.
“She gets through that ground fine. I toyed with the idea of not coming here and waiting for Galway but sure you could wait and maybe not get your ground or get a bad draw. It's great to win with her again.”
Carroll's 43.8/1 treble comprised Pandora Lovegood (3/1f) and Girl Crush 11/5.
