Kildare's bloodstock community are up in arms over the proposed siting of a toxic waste incinerator at Kilcock.
The Kildare Horse Development Co., a organisation representing all the equine sectors in the county, have lodged their objections with Bord Pleanala at an oral hearing regarding the development.
Shane Horgan, spokesman for the organisation, said today :'The incinerator is an issue, not simply for its immediate environs but one of country-wide importance.
'If even one breeding establishment in the vicinity of the incinerator had to close or re-locate because of the proposed development there would be a domino effect on the other estblishments in the county.'
