The opening race of The Fairyhouse Easter Festival, The Lexeme Retail Novice Handicap Hurdle was won by 25/1 shot Sarteano of Dessie Hughes, ridden by Roger Loughran and owned by the More Busted Sofa's Syndicate.
Winning trainer Hughes said afterwards, "He was a decent horse on the Flat in Germany. He won his maiden well up the North but then he went wrong on us. He had lung problems but he has been back to himself the last 6 weeks and it's a great start to the week."
