Trainer Denis Hogan and jockey Joe Doyle completed a double at Dundalk today as the pair landed the Crowne Plaza Dundalk Race & Stay Maiden with first-time blinkered Narynkol
Hogan and Doyle had earlier won the opening Claimer with Tony The Gent which went unclaimed, and doubled their score with Narynkol, a 27,000gns purchase last October.
The son of Declaration Of War carried form-figures of '632/2242-4' into today's race, with first-time 'blinds', came out best when beating Indignation by half a length.
Jockey Doyle later said “he's not always been the most reliable horse but we've known he has plenty of ability and today it opened up really well for him.
“I think he's a horse that we could have a bit more fun with.
“He's been tricky and the blinkers seem to have worked a treat on him. He enjoyed it today, travelled great and went and done his job well so we're very happy with him.
“I think he's a horse that might want a cut in the ground and he could be plenty of fun this summer.”
