Fingers came with a well-timed run to claim the two-mile handicap hurdle at Roscommon under Luke McNiff.
Kevin O'Brien 's charge chased down Lucky Wish to record a length-and-a-half success and complete a hat-trick in the process.
"He stayed on well and the one thing he does is stay but he also seems to have a bit of pace," said O'Brien.
"He was second in two bumpers during the winter on real heavy ground but he really likes it good.
"We'll mix it with him and probably go over fences, depending on what the handicapper does.
"He's won a point-to-point but also has the pace for the Flat. I had a beginners chase at Killarney earmarked for him.
