Harty eyes County with Plains Eddie Harty has a couple of options with Princeton Plains at Cheltenham next week where better going will be in his favour.. The seven-year-old found the rain-softened ground against him when he was eighth behind My Tent Or Yours in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury last month. Harty is hoping Princeton Plains will get the chance to do better and the Curragh trainer is looking at the Vincent O'Brien County Handicap Hurdle on Friday week, although the horse has an alternative entry in the Coral Cup next Wednesday. "I've got Princeton Plains in the Coral Cup and the County Hurdle. Hopefully he'll get into one of them, possibly the County. He should get into that," said Harty. "The ground was very heavy. We went for decent ground and the weather went against us the last day. "The pace of the race and the ground didn't suit. All in all he went OK and he should have more in his favour at Cheltenham as they should go a stronger pace." Harty is pessimistic at the prospects of his other Festival entry, Fahamore, making either of his two engagements. "I've got Fahamore for the Coral Cup and the Martin Pipe but I think he'll struggle to get into either of them this year because of the number of entries," said Harty. "If he doesn't get in at Cheltenham we'll find something at home for him. I've not looked beyond next week."
