The Jack Davison trained Harry's Bar could return to Dundalk for the Mercury Stakes in a couple of weeks, having pleased connections when runner-up at the track on Friday night.

A 15-time winner on the AW, the admirable nine-year-old put in another good shift when finishing a close up second to former Royal Ascot winner Valiant Force.

Reflecting on the performance, Davison said: "He did (run with a lot of credit), it turned out a competitive race.

"He's not getting any younger, but he still has the zest for it.

"If we can just encourage him into the stalls a little bit better, it would be helpful going forward.

"It is great to see his spark back again.

"We'll see if he comes back here for the Mercury Stakes. We will look at all the options, but it is nice that we have him in it."
