Paul Hanagan is now clear favourite to land the Flat jockeys title for the third successive year following the news that Silvestre De Sousa has signed up to ride for the Godolphin team.

Paddy Power were quoting Hanagan, De Sousa and former champion Ryan Moore all as 3/1 co favourites but now have the reigning champion as their 5/2 “jolly”.

Moore remains on the 3/1 mark but Power’s believe that the Godolphin link-up will restrict De Sousa who has been pushed out to 7/2.

Paddy Power said: "Silvestre has been pushed out as he will have to share the Godolphin rides with Frankie and possibly Mickael Barzalona, while Paul will be moving his butt all over the country as he hungrily chases a brilliant hat-trick."
