HUGHES SIDELINED

English-based jockey Richard Hughes will miss his rides at Leicester today, his agent Tony Hind has revealed.

But the rider, who gave up his final mount at Chepstow on Monday after complaining of feeling unwell, should return at Newbury's evening meeting tomorrow.

Hind explained: "He felt a bit under the weather and he's taken today off as well.

"He's just not 100 per cent but he'll be back at Newbury tomorrow evening."

Hughes was due to ride Northern Times in the JIG Racing _ Coventry Handicap and College Rock in the Gary Wiltshire Claiming Stakes at Leicester.
