Pat Hughes was today still looking for a jockey for leading Ladbroke Hurdle hope Quinze.
But the trainer could not be happier with the health of his seven-year-old, who is quoted at 16-1 by the sponsors for Saturday's #100,000 Leopardstown contest.
Regular jockey Paul Carberry is claimed to ride Native Dara for Noel Meade and Hughes said: "I've no idea who will ride yet but the horse is OK, 100 per cent."
Hughes does not want too much rain at Leopardstown.
"He's won on soft ground but like a few more in the race he prefers good ground," he said. "It was soft when he won a chase at Galway but it was very firm when he won the Galway Hurdle, he's a better horse on good ground."
Whatever his fate on Saturday Quinze will be rested until the spring.
"The idea was to run him up to Christmas and then the Ladbroke," explained Hughes. "He won't run until April after the Ladbroke, somewhere like Fairyhouse or Punchestown."
