HOLLAND BOWS OUT WITH A WINNER

Darryll Holland cut short his stint in Singapore and bowed out with a hard-fought win on Silver Native in the last race at Kranji on Wednesday night.

Silver Native looked beaten a furlong from home but Holland managed to get a bit more out of the gelding to edge out the Michael Fenton-ridden Imperator by a neck.

"I really regret having to leave Singapore at such short notice but I had no choice as I have some urgent commitments back home," he said.

"It was nice to leave on a winning note and I hope to be back in March to ride an English entry in the Singapore Airlines international cup."
