HIGH-RISE LEAVES GODOLPHIN

High-Rise, winner of the Vodafone Derby in 1998, has left Godolphin and will continue his career in the United States, it was revealed today on the Dubai operation's website.

The five-year-old, who beat City Honours by a head at Epsom when trained by Luca Cumani, will join Kiaran McLaughlin.

The son of High Estate became the first Derby hero since Lammtarra in 1995 to win another race after the premier Classic when landing the Dubai City Of Gold Stakes at Nad Al Sheba last month.

However, the horse injured his right front ankle when third to Fantastic Light in Saturday's Dubai Sheema Classic at the same course on Saturday.

Fantastic Light will now join Godolphin from Sir Michael Stoute's yard in Newmarket.

The four-year-old, winner of the Great Voltigeur Stakes and Thresher Classic Trial last season, "will be aimed at the premier international one and a half mile races this year".
