A total of 44 horses have been entered for the Singer & Friedlander National Trial at Uttoxeter on Saturday February 5th, it was announced today.
Trainer Henry Daly has made three entries in the race, headed by Coral Welsh National winner Edmond.
Fiddling The Facts, second to Him Of Praise at Uttoxeter last year but a disappointment behind Edmond at Chepstow could attempt a repeat.
Young Kenny, who was also unplaced behind Edmond but won the Marstons Pedigree Midlands Grand National at the Midlands course last season, is also among the entries.
Tony Martin's Hollybank Buck, third to Young Kenny in the Midlands National, and Michael Hourigan's Paddy Power Handicap Chase winner Inis Cara could represent a strong Irish challenge.
Martin Pipe has five entries including Moondigua, while Alan King has three, including Listen Timmy, who runs in the colours of Uttoxeter chairman Stan Clarke.
There is a £100,000 bonus for any horse winning the Singer & Friedlander, Midlands Grand National and Martell Grand National and Clarke said: "The quality of the horses entered for the Singer & Friedlander is of an exceptionally high standard and I have no doubt whatsoever that many of them are more than capable of securing the bonus."
